Jalapeno Poppers (Cheese Slices Version)

I have this obsession with cheese stuffed Jalapenos.

Been making so many versions- from the traditional mixed cheese-stuffed to pressed cheese ball style to sliced cheese version... Here's the sliced cheese version.



Ingredient:

Sliced Cheese (I used mozzarella)
Jalapeno Slices (I used my pickled Jalapenos I made last week)

Batter mix:
Flour
Onion Powder
Paprika powder
Black Pepper Powder
Salt

Breadcrumbs and/or Nestum

Method:


1. Cut cheese slices into thirds.
2. Roll Jalapeno slices in cheese.
3. Dip in batter then dip in breadcrumbs. Repeat twice.
4. Rest for 10 minutes to cool in the fridge.
5. Deep fry until golden brown and cheese starts to ooze out.
6. Let rest for 2-3 minutes on kitchen towel to blot excess oil.
7. Enjoy!


Note:  ( You can substitute whole Cilipadi- I tried these, they're good! Just remember to cut slits into them so they don't explode)
