Nephentes mirabilis

Wild collected from a swamp to be developed into something else.

Some one told me the plants are there when I was 8 or 9 years old...

For almost twenty years the plants flourished there and they may not be there anymore next year... It's a sad... sad... story...

Nephentes stenophylla

Looks at first glance just like n. sanguinea... But upon further inspection... n. stenopylla lacks the spots inside the pitcher.

Nephentes maxima

I bought this one for RM25 from The Lot Green in my hometown...

Sarracenia sp.

I'm trying to propagate this plant... Did some rhyzome cuttings and 3 pots out of 3 pots are putting up new shoots...

Nephentes sp. (dwarf)

Looks like they came in 2 sizes... One of the earlier pitcher... The pitchers get to be up to 4 inches... Very thin and very sexy (waisted).

Nephentes sp. (big)

It's pitchering faithfully for me since I bought em since like 4 months ago... But I dont even know it's name...

It's like one of those relationship that happenes after a late night out at a club!

p/s: the pitchers ranges from 4-8 inches in length!

Nephentes sumatrana

Curvy like J. Lo!

Nephentes pilosa

Hairy little fella!

Hold up! There's a snake in my apartment...

Dont panic... It's my pet whipsnake! Less than 24".

Alocasia longiloba "watsonia"

I'm still unable to capture the nicely crumpled effect on the leaves... A beautiful pix of the plant never the less...

Nephentes maxima borone

Just a little baby!

Nephentes ventricosa (black peristome)

She's just a little baby, still waiting for some body parts to arrive... :)

Hoya sp

There's somthing that goes into my mind when I hear the name of this plant... It's musical and it goes like hoy, hoya hoy~

First time trying my luck keeping this specie. The flower puts out a frightening scent at night... Dont keep the flowers if you're supersticious and living alone.

Alocasia poteii

The parent plant (may she rest in peace) was almost as tall as myself and I'm 5'10". These two are sprouting babies like weed... Nice foliage and reptilian-like veining on the stems...

Nephentes belli

Red pitchers... Green peristome... All very cute... 8USD from Malesiana.com

Alocasia venusta

Look closely... No forks! :D

Nephentes rafflesiana

I dont know about you... But everytime I see the pitcher of rafflesiana, it reminds me of cuttlefish and it makes me hungry... Hmm... Deep Fried Cuttlefish anyone?

Alocasia reversa

Instead of the standard dark colored leaves and pale veining... This ones' got it in reverse... Hence "reversa".

Nice color and nice sized plant... Cheap too... Only 3USD from Malesiana.com

Nephentes Albomarginata

Nephentes albomarginata (albomarginata means white line!) 'nuff said!

Alocasia Cuprea

If you like everything glittery and shiny... Well Alocasia Cuprea is for you... This one's selling for 12USD at Malesiana.com.

Nephentes Ampullaria

Bought this for USD5 from Malesiana.com. Interesting thing about amps is that they're supposed to be carnivorous but with a taste for rotten falling leaves...

They're called detrivorous, in case you dont already know.

Imagine a cabbage trying to be a cat trying to be a cabbage...

Now that's a pretty confused cabbage...

It's a scary world of passwords and more passwords!!!

I've lost my password to the "other" blog... Cant believe it!

Well anyway... instead of cracking my brain to guess the damn password... I'm putting up a new one... Tada!

PLease note that this blog is like the plants, it grows! Will put on more and more and more photos of the plants as they grow.

And yeah, will also add how to care for the plants in the future. For now, I just water them with tap water, just water them until water floods out of the rim of the pot and i usually water them at night. Right after that, I just mist the leaves with water and I'm done.

By the way, thank you for dropping by here. Hope you enjoy the photos.
