Anyway, yesterday I saw a few strange things around the island.
When I was fixing my tyre (meaning, at the shop), I saw a guy in some football jersey and shorts inhaling glue right there in the middle of the road. He even tried to stop a patrol car.
It was obvious that he was sniffing glue as he was holding a plastic bag to his mouth and huffing and puffing away.
The strange thing was, the patrol car didn't even slow down. So this guy stood the in the middle of the road for like 5 minutes and then he walked away...
So you think glue-sniffing is cool? Think again... Apart from making you high, which will put you and/or other people around you in danger, glue-sniffing will cause complications to your breathing. If that doesn't put you off, then maybe the risk of ruining your facial complexion and making your teeth rot, will.
So don't try it.
End of preaching session.
Ok, so after sending a friend to Pelangi (it was almost 2am) I drove back with the top down through Bukit Malut. Felt kinda sleepy and hungry so I called a friend to join me for late supper/early breakfast. I always use the loud-speaker mode, when making calls while driving...
The moment I ended my call, a big wild boar crossed the road less then 20 meters ahead of my car... Luckily it didn't turn back, else...
I looked back through the rearview mirror and saw 3-4 more crossed the road. I guess I was lucky, if I was 3-4 seconds late... Haih, dunwanna think about it...
So be alert when driving yeah?
Even when there seems to be nothing on the road... Expect the unexpected...
Too many wild animals had died while crossing the road... This message was brought to you by... ME!
Wild Boar: Shy, Fast and Not-so-smart-when crossing the road!
Short-tailed macaques : Intelligent primate common as roadkill. A person I know, killed 3.
